Sharing Housing 101 is an online mini course that lets you learn from our sharing housing expert, Annamarie Pluhar, on your own schedule and from the comfort of your home. If you’re interested in finding a housemate, but aren’t sure how to do it right, this course can help you feel safe and secure as you start your shared housing journey. Sharing Housing 101 will teach you what you need to know to live better together!

What You Will Learn

Sharing Housing 101 contains 10 short 3-6 minute lessons that take you through the all the steps of finding and selecting a housemate. You will learn:

• A proven six step process for finding a compatible housemate.
• Guidelines for living in shared housing.
• Important practical and legal considerations.

At the end there’s a quiz that will help you review what you’ve learned.

Most importantly this process will help you know how to recognize when someone is NOT a good fit for you. You will be able to name the steps of a good housemate search process, you will know when to stop the process if you haven’t found a good fit, and you’ll learn about the barriers to making change and how you can overcome the.

How It Works

The course consists of ten short pre-recorded video lessons that allow you to learn on your schedule. Once you signed up for the course, you can take the lessons at any time, in any order you want. Each lesson has written materials and worksheets to help you track your process. We want you to be successful finding a good housemate!
